IIT Madras Roof Refurbishment Project

Eber Infrastructures is proud to be executing the roof refurbishment works for the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras), one of India's premier educational and research institutions. This project involves the transformation of an existing roofing system that had experienced deterioration over time. The original GI sheet roofing showed signs of wear, necessitating a comprehensive refurbishment solution that would enhance durability, thermal performance, and long-term sustainability.

Rather than opting for a complete roof replacement, the project adopts an efficient refurbishment approach. Selected sections of the existing GI roofing are being replaced where required, while structurally sound portions are being retained and integrated into the new roofing assembly. The upgraded system incorporates high-performance insulation and a premium Kalzip Standing Seam Roofing System, creating a modern, weather-tight roofing solution designed for long-term performance.

Our Scope

Eber Infrastructures is responsible for the refurbishment and modernization of the existing roofing system, including:

• Assessment and selective replacement of existing GI roofing sheets
• Integration of insulation for enhanced thermal performance
• Installation of Kalzip Standing Seam Roofing System
• Upgrading the roof to improve weather resistance, durability, and longevity
